Navigating questions of identity, race, and culture can be deeply personal and sometimes isolating. Growing up in a multi-ethnic and multi-lingual family, being racialised as a global majority individual, or living in a country where you do not speak the language can shape how you relate to yourself, others, and systems of care.
You might be:
Grappling with a sense of “not fully belonging”
Feeling pressure to code-switch or manage expectations in work or social settings
Experiencing microaggressions or subtle exclusion in personal or professional environments
Facing health inequalities or challenges in accessing services due to cultural, racial, or linguistic differences
Wondering how your background intersects with your mental or physical health
It’s normal to experience emotions that are often unspoken, such as frustration, guilt, shame, or anger at systems or people that fail to understand your experience. Therapy provides a space where these feelings are acknowledged and explored safely. Together, we can examine how identity shapes your life, work, and relationships, and support you in finding ways to navigate complexity with authenticity and resilience.
My work in this area draws on both professional expertise and lived experience. I speak English and French natively and understand the challenges of living across cultures, including the expat experience and navigating environments where language or cultural norms may differ. This informs my approach, helping clients feel seen and supported across the intersections of race, culture, and identity.
I am able to provide therapy for clients living in most countries, except the USA and Canada. If you are located outside of the UK, please let me know so that I can confirm we are able to work together.
